Offered here for your consideration is an outstanding 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible. Buick Skylarks represent the last of the great hand-finished cars from GM in the fifties. Standard Century convertibles were taken off the line and received the concept-like hand-finished Skylark finned rear deck plus additional deisgn features. Restored and slightly modified approximately ten years prior, this vehicle comes out of a collection with 1000 total miles. I am advised the car received a total body-off-frame restoration with no expense spared. Evidently only 836 Buick Skylarks were produced in 1954 with perhaps only 100 examples remaining, making this car a very sought-after and investment quality collectible.
The car runs a 322 Buick Nailhead V/8 with aftermarket valve covers matched to a Dyna-Flow automatic transmission. The body is laser sharp and the elongated wheel wells with the coves painted red are very handsome and unique. Mirror-finished black paint was expertly applied. All chrome is straight and bright as is the stainless trim. Equipment includes power steering, power brakes, power seat, power convertible top, power windows and telescopic antenna. Interior upholstery was upgraded with soft Conolly leather. Radial white wall tires with aftermarket chrome wire wheels really set this car off nicely.
Price: $160k firm.
